The W. B. Blues trio was formed in the spring of 2005. Its premise was an acoustic blues project in the spirit of early blues artists such as Robert Johnson. While their repertoire has expanded to include more modern songs from blues and other popular artists, their acoustic spirit remains: the fire comes from the performers, not from their amplifiers. Their work consistently leaves happy audiences wanting more, and they’re happy to be regular performers at several venues in the area.
Steve West (guitars, lead vocals) is the front man and leader of the trio. An active musician and guitar teacher, Steve has performed with most of the top names in the Western New York acoustic scene. He can be seen hosting open mics from Rochester down to Swain and many places in between. A lifelong guitarist and Livonia native, he currently performs as a soloist as well; you can learn more about him at his web site.
Tim Brinduse (harmonica, vocals, percussion) is a self-employed architect and a life-long musician. He’s performed most recently with Stick Boom Papa and Money Shot, and from time to time sits in with the Southern Tier classic The Easy Money Band.
Ross Bracco (bass, vocals) has performed in the Rochester area since the mid-1990s. He’s studied guitar with jazz guitarist and Tonemeister General Steve Greene, and played bass in various settings including blues, acoustic rock and jazz. He has performed with various groups, including jazz with the Artisan Trio and Moon Salad, and he also currently plays bass with the 3D Electric Blues Band. Ross is also the owner of Red Beagle Web Development, building web solutions for small businesses.
